Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking an experienced Help Desk Technician to provide first-line IT support for staff, resolving user issues and escalating to second-line teams as needed. You will handle tickets via phone, email and in person, maintain desktops and software, and document procedures to ensure security and uptime.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in a computer-related field, familiarity with Windows, Office, Outlook/Exchange, and strong customer service skills for a professional office

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
• Experience in a help desk or IT support role is preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Exchange.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems for users.
• Respond to help desk tickets via phone, email, and in person.
• Track issues to ensure timely resolution and escalate when needed.
• Maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related devices; apply patches.
• Liaise with vendors and internal teams for problem resolution and upgrades.
• Document procedures and maintain IT assets and licenses.
