Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Tier 1 IT Helpdesk Support Technician to be the first point of contact for employees requiring IT assistance. You will provide basic software and hardware support and prepare equipment for new hires.

You will log and resolve IT tickets, assist with hardware provisioning, and help ship, receive, and track equipment for remote workers. The role requires strong communication and physical lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of IT support experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS; strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma required; IT certifications or a tech degree are a plus.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for IT issues
• Prepares and configures new computer hardware
• Manages inventory and equipment shipping
• Answer support calls, log IT tickets, and resolve basic software and hardware problems
• Image, configure, and set up laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for new hires
• Shipping and tracking: pack, ship, and log returned hardware
• Maintain accurate stock records for spare parts, computers, and accessories.
