Job summary

Summit Radiology is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to be the first point of contact for staff, radiologists, and client sites. You will handle incoming IT calls, provide Tier 1 Windows support, triage issues, and escalate where needed.

Based at our Fort Wayne office, this role offers on-site collaboration with networking, servers, and security teams and room to grow into more specialized IT positions.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills (ping, connectivity).
• Ability to document work clearly.
• Willingness to learn and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming IT support calls as the primary contact during business hours.
• Provide Tier 1 support for Windows workstations, Microsoft 365, account lockouts and password resets, MFA, BitLocker recovery, printers, peripherals, and other common end-user issues.
• Triage incoming tickets: assess new issues, capture essentials, assign to an appropriate specialist.
• Own the health of the ticket queue: monitor aging and unassigned tickets, follow up with owners, confirm resolutions with users.
• Support walk-ins for IT assistance at the Fort Wayne office.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and setup (VPN installs and troubleshooting, connectivity checks).
• Image and stage workstations for deployment and configuration to standard.
• Contribute to and help maintain internal knowledge base.
• Assist the team with routine operational tasks (inventory and documentation updates).
