Job summary

Northampton Community College is recruiting a PT Technician for the Computer Support Center, primarily based at the Pocono Campus. You will provide desktop, network, AV, and support center services across NCC campuses, with fast response to tickets and proactive equipment deployment.

The role reports to the Help Desk Manager and requires strong customer service and communications skills, plus experience with audiovisual systems and instructional technology in higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Instructional Technology plus 2 years’ experience; or Associate’s degree with 3 years’ experience.
• Substantial related experience may qualify beyond formal degrees.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary technology support for NCC campuses, with focus on Pocono Campus.
• Advanced troubleshooting and escalation to Tier 2 as needed.
• Collaborate with Desktop, Network, and other Support staff to install desktop, printer, and AV equipment.
• Provide basic tech support for events across all campuses as needed.
• Ensure work orders are tracked, assigned, and addressed promptly.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
