Job summary

Hoffer Plastics is seeking a Help Desk Technician for the 1st shift to provide frontline IT support across our growing manufacturing environment. You will respond to inquiries by phone, email, or ticketing system, diagnose routine issues, and guide users with clear explanations.

The role involves deploying devices, installing software, and gaining familiarity with our ERP processes to assist business users.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; associate degree or IT cert preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with ERP systems or business processes is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software and document resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Investigate issues using internal resources and documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve routine hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Configure and deploy new devices and install approved software.
• Learn ERP processes to support users with basic tasks.
• Document issues and resolutions; create guides for future reference.
• Translate technical info into clear user explanations.
• Demonstrate curiosity about new tools and cybersecurity best practices.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects and improvements.
