Job summary

Hoffer Plastics is seeking a Help Desk Technician for 1st shift, with starting pay of $50k-$60k depending on experience. You will provide frontline technical support by phone, email, or ticketing system, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and partner with vendors on complex cases.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (associate degree/IT certificate preferred), familiarity with Windows, basic networking, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or IT cert preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts.
• Strong customer service orientation and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with vendors or escalate to senior technicians as needed.
• Configure and deploy devices, install approved software.
• Learn ERP processes to assist users with routine tasks.
• Document issues, steps taken, and outcomes; maintain guides.
• Translate technical info into clear, user-friendly terms.
• Participate in projects and occasional non-standard hours.
