Job summary

The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is seeking a detail-oriented Help Desk Technician to join our IT department. The role provides desktop support for hardware and software across the organization, including printers, scanners, and mobile devices, with emphasis on timely ticket resolution.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. A pre-employment drug screen and physical examination are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or related field required.
• Three years of recent and relevant desktop support experience required.
• Additional experience may substitute for formal education as outlined in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Responds to staff and customer requests for desktop support concerning hardware and software issues.
• Installs and configures new hardware, software and upgrades on stand-alone and on-line systems.
• Provides instruction to end users in maintenance and use of applications and hardware.
• Analyzes and repairs hardware, software and network issues; coordinates repairs to minimize disruption.
• Coordinates installation of office systems and uses external service providers as needed.
• Makes site visits to branches and remote locations to provide computer support.
