The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County, invites applications for a Help Desk Technician in its IT department. The role provides desktop support for hardware and software across the organization, handling devices, printing, scanning and mobile tech, and responding to user requests to ensure timely ticket resolution.
Requires an Associates degree in IT or related field with 3 years of relevant experience; or additional years in lieu of degrees.
The Clerk's IT department are seeking a well-organized, detail-orientated professional who loves working in a fast-paced environment to join their team as a Help Desk Technician! The Help Desk Technician provides desktop support for computer hardware and software issues for the entire organization. This work requires knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, printing, scanning, and mobile devices, including performing maintenance on all equipment. The Help Desk Technician responds to user/customer requests and ensures timely resolution of all assigned tickets.
*This is a mandatory testing position; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen & physical examination is required prior to employment.*
Associates degree in Information Technology or related field and three (3) years of recent and relevant experience required; additional experience is accepted as a minimum requirement in lieu of a post-secondary degree on the following basis: additional four (4) years in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, and an additional two (2) years in lieu of an associate degree, or in lieu of an associate’s degree, two (2) years of direct work experience and one (1) year of supplemental work experience will be required.
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
