Job summary

Albuquerque Public Schools is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, chat, and in-person assistance. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues, and assist with device setup and rotating IT tasks.

Join a team that maintains IT assets, supports onboarding, and documents solutions in the knowledge base while delivering reliable, friendly service to staff across the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; IT degree a plus.
• 2–4 years in help desk or desktop support roles.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, common business apps, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, and in-person assistance.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist users with network access, Wi-Fi, email, printers, and other resources.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and security credentials per policies.
• Support software installation, updates, and system maintenance on Windows-based computers.
• Document, track, and manage support requests in the help desk system.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and asset deployment.
