Job summary

Coppin State University is seeking an IT Personal Computer Specialist to troubleshoot and support client systems, including hardware and software across desktop and mobile devices. You will install, configure, and maintain OS and network connections, and manage daily tasks through an automated help desk system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field.
• 1 year of Help desk experience.
• 1 year of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting client systems software and hardware in a networked environment using Windows 11.
• 1 year of Microsoft Office experience.
• 1 year of Microsoft 365 (Office 365) environment.
• 1 year of working in a routed network environment.
• 1 year of working in a wireless network environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, support and resolve client systems over the phone and in person.
• Support client systems’ hardware and software including desktop and mobile devices, scanners, printers and peripherals.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot client systems’ network connections in Windows 11 Enterprise.
• Set up and install new client devices and peripherals to meet users’ expectations.
• Accept daily assignments using an Automated Help Desk system.
• PC deployment including lifting and carrying PCs and monitors up to 20 lbs.
• Troubleshoot and support virtual desktops.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve client issues.
