Job summary

Texas A&M International University is seeking a part-time Intern- Information Technology (OIT- Help Desk) to support classroom and lab technologies on campus in Laredo, TX. You will assist users with account, PC, and phone issues and help maintain a ticketing system.

The role requires enrollment as a TAMIU student in IS/CS/Business and the ability to work up to 19 hours per week, with a pay rate of $10.50/hour. On-campus duties and scheduled trainings are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled at least half-time (6 credits undergrad, 3 grad).
• GPA: 2.0+ undergrad, 3.0+ graduate.
• Must meet SAPP requirements and campus policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with account, PC, and phone issues via email, phone, chat/remote, in person.
• Troubleshoot PCs and Apple systems and software.
• Maintain KIOSKs and Digital Signage weekly.
• Maintain ticketing records and inventory.
• Support special projects including network equipment mounting and imaging.
• Attend to time sheets and on-campus schedule.
