Job summary

University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) is seeking two Student Assistants for part-time IT support internships with the California Department of State Hospitals.

You will gain hands-on experience in help desk operations, troubleshooting, ticketing, device setup, and basic systems management while working in a flexible, hybrid environment in California. This paid student position requires current enrollment and compliance with UEI policies; work schedule is weekdays 8am-5pm and up to 24 hours per week

Qualifications

• Must be a college student enrolled in fall/spring terms in CA.
• Enrollment of at least six-semester units or nine quarter units.
• Majors listed in the job posting should align with IT.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for Help Desk calls, tickets, and walk-ins.
• Create and document help desk tickets for incidents and service requests.
• Assign and distribute tickets using an automated system.
• Track IT equipment rental inventory and maintain logs.
• Assist customers with use of computer hardware, software, peripherals.
• Assist with setup and deployment of PC hardware/software.
• Assist with setup and operation of audio/visual equipment.
• Provide general Client Services Help Desk support and other duties as assigned.
• Accurately report work hours and participate in UEI mentorship program.
