Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a qualified IT Support Technician to provide hardware, software, and LAN support for a comprehensive information network across affiliates and enterprises.

You will participate in deploying hardware and software, resolve OS and device issues, and provide ongoing post-installation support. The role requires an Associate's Degree in IT and at least two years of relevant experience, with on-call coverage and a day shift in Providence, RI.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to Associate's Degree with coursework in Information Technology.
• Experience in computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Two years' experience configuring client computers and installing software.
• Combination of computer training and technical work experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Participates in implementing computer hardware, peripherals, and software.
• Support complex system installations at the client OS level and during client rollout.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves OS, hardware, software and network compatibility issues.
• Provides ongoing support after installation and on-call coverage as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
