Job summary

SIXT is seeking an IT Field Technician I to install, configure, and deploy technology across our North American locations. You will support branch openings and ongoing operations, ensuring equipment and connectivity are ready for business. The role involves 40–50% nationwide travel and independent work in a fast-paced environment.

You will install workstations, cabling, and network equipment, perform imaging, and provide Tier 1/2 on-site support while coordinating with IT teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT field services or desktop support experience.
• Hands-on experience running Cat6/Cat6A cabling and installing IT equipment.
• Experience configuring imaging for Windows 10/11 and basic TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi knowledge.
• Ability to read network diagrams and provide on‑site support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure workstations, printers, kiosks, network equipment at SIXT locations.
• Run and test cabling; coordinate with contractors for site readiness.
• Prepare devices with imaging/provisioning; ensure equipment is ready for use.
• Perform network connectivity tests, VLAN verification, and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Provide Tier 1/2 on-site support during branch openings and for existing locations.
