Job summary
T-Rex Solutions, LLC is seeking a fully cleared IT Field Support Specialist to join our team in the Columbia, MD area. The role involves on-site and remote Tier 2/3 support for PCs, servers, printers, and conferencing equipment, plus site surveys and documentation, hardware procurement, and end-user training.
The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 3–5 years IT experience, and 8570/Security+ certifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years IT experience recommended.
- 8570 Certification required; Security+ preferred.
- Skilled in hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for workstations, servers, printers, and peripherals both on-site and remotely.
- Conduct site surveys and document configurations for transparency and repeatability.
- Prepare hardware procurement specs and installation schedules.
- Deliver site installation and test reports; assist with network upgrades.
- Build and install custom interconnecting cables for site needs.
- Train site personnel on hardware usage and maintenance.
