AT&T is seeking a highly motivated IT Field Support Specialist (HT2) to provide advanced Tier 2/3 on-site and remote support for a wide range of IT equipment and infrastructure. The role is located in Columbia, Maryland, with a preference for candidates who can work onsite five days a week and hold TS/SCI with polygraph.

The position emphasizes site surveys, hardware procurement, installation scheduling, and collaboration with IT teams for project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of relevant IT experience.
• 8570 Certification; Security+ certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 on-site and remote support for workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed documentation and configuration diagrams.
• Analyze hardware needs and prepare procurement specifications; develop installation schedules.
• Prepare site installation/test reports and support network upgrade initiatives.
• Build and install interconnecting cables for site needs and hardware integrations.
• Train site personnel on proper use and maintenance of hardware and IT resources.
• Maintain government and vendor hardware like fiber modems, multiplexers and telecom systems.
