Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Support Specialist 2 to provide Tier 2/3 support for workstations, servers, printers, and networked hardware. You will perform on-site and remote assistance, diagnose issues, and implement hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities include site surveys, configuring Windows systems, Active Directory security, and coordinating with IT teams and vendors to resolve complex problems while maintaining security and uptime.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of IT experience.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and software applications.
• Knowledge of Active Directory security and policies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and test computer hardware and associated equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and document configurations, requirements, and changes.
• Support hardware deployments, network upgrades, and equipment installations.
• Install and configure hardware, cabling, and specialized interconnecting cables.
• Maintain fiber optic modems, multiplexers, fiber/Ethernet cabling, and telephone systems.
• Install Windows operating systems, applications, antivirus software, and security patches.
• Use ticketing systems to document and track technical issues.
• Provide remote and on-site end-user support and training.
• Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and users to resolve technical issues.
