Job summary

T-Rex Solutions, LLC seeks a fully cleared IT Field Support Specialist to bolster our security infrastructure in the Columbia, MD area. The role focuses on hardware and software support, site surveys, and end-user enablement, with responsibilities spanning installation, documentation, and collaboration with IT teams.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of IT experience, 8570 certification, and strong Windows OS and AD skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years IT experience preferred.
• 8570 Certification required; Security+ beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for workstations, servers, printers, and teleconferencing equipment on-site and remotely.
• Conduct site surveys, document configurations, and create diagrams for repeatability.
• Coordinate hardware procurement specifications and installation schedules.
• Install and configure new hardware, cables, and related equipment.
• Train end-users and ensure proper use of IT resources.
• Maintain fiber optic and network gear to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Adhere to SOPs and use ticketing systems for issue tracking.
