Job summary

Lincoln County Sheriff's Office in Troy, MO seeks a Technology & Facilities Support Specialist (PRN) to provide on-call, part-time IT and facilities support. The role emphasizes IT systems, networks, cameras, and security, with duties across installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a law-enforcement environment.

The position requires ability to work independently, respond to priority needs, and follow safety and CJIS policies.

Qualifications

Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED; associate/bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
Relevant certifications and hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Prior IT support, systems administration, network support, or similar technical role strongly preferred.
Basic electrical experience is required, including safe use of common electrical tools and low-voltage systems.
Experience installing and troubleshooting camera systems is required; security/IP/body-worn camera experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and connected systems (servers, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).
Monitor performance and assist in outages or connectivity issues.
Provide tech support for deputies, dispatch, corrections staff, and admin personnel.
