Job summary

Lincoln County is seeking a Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker to operate and maintain county facilities at 201 Main Street, Troy, MO. The role focuses on keeping plumbing, electrical, structural, and mechanical systems functional in line with county policies and codes.

The position requires the ability to prioritize work orders, supervise contracted services, manage supplies, and oversee landscaping and snow removal to ensure safe, accessible facilities for staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and safety codes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain major facilities systems in County buildings and ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Assist in repair, maintenance, and remodeling of plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair lighting, data communication, security, and related systems.
• Administer preventative maintenance to keep facilities safe and functional.
• Manage inventories of tools, equipment, and parts.
• Prioritize work orders and coordinate with contractors as needed.
