Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of IT support experience for computers, networks, or information systems.
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Pass required background checks and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outside normal hours and respond to emergencies when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to Sheriff’s Department, dispatchers, Emergency Management staff, and authorized county users and devices.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network resources.
• Support dispatch, records management, emergency notification, and related systems.
• Assist with patrol vehicle technology, surveillance, access control, digital evidence, and other public safety technologies.
• Maintain networks, servers, cloud services, firewalls, VPNs, and related infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email access, and multifactor authentication.
• Monitor system performance, perform updates, maintain backups, and assist with disaster recovery planning.
• Protect sensitive and criminal justice information per security requirements.
