Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical assistance for City staff by supporting computers, cellular and desktop phones, software, networking, peripherals, and audio-visual equipment.

The technician installs, configures, maintains, and repairs technology assets; manages user accounts and access; responds to and documents service tickets and knowledge base articles; and troubleshoots hardware, software, and connectivity issues through

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; 1 year of basic IT support experience preferred.
Valid Arizona driver’s license required.
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical assistance for City staff across computers, phones, software, networking, peripherals, and AV equipment.
Install, configure, maintain, and repair technology assets; manage user accounts and access; document service tickets and knowledge base articles.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues via in-person, phone, email, and remote support.
Support AV systems in conference rooms, offices, and Council Chambers, including setup and event support for staff and elected officials.
Coordinate repairs or lifecycle needs with vendors and assist with training for employees.
