Job description

One of TEKsystems' clients is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Desktop Support team.

This is a great opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door with a local enterprise company and to grow their skills within IT Support, with potential career advancement within IT. They are currently seeking individuals eager to grow within their company.

Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience is preferred. IT certifications are desirable for this role. This will be a first shift opportunity on a Contract to Hire basis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications.
  2. Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
  3. Re-image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10.
  4. Assist all users with any logged IT-related incidents.
  5. Take ownership of issues by analyzing problems and implementing solutions to restore service promptly, escalating when necessary.
  6. Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system.
  7. Install and configure new IT equipment.
  8. Resolve incidents and upgrade software and hardware.
  9. Resolve issues with printers, copiers, and scanners.
  10. Maintain excellent customer service, ensuring efficient and appropriate treatment of all customers.

This is a fully onsite position in Grand Rapids, MI. The pay range is $16.00 - $22.00/hr, negotiable based on experience. The application deadline is July 4, 2025.
