Job summary

ESP Global Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide IT support for Windows PCs, Macs, printers, and mobile devices across departments. You will respond to incidents, manage accounts, and help maintain hardware and software configurations.

The role emphasizes timely issue resolution, adherence to SLAs, and accurate ticketing and asset records, with opportunities to grow through extensive training and development programs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Helpdesk/Desktop Support or Field Services experience.
• Experience with Windows desktop software and Mac OS.
• Experience supporting DSS, multiple workstation OS, multiple mobile OS, networking, printing services.
• Experience with onboarding/offboarding desktop/laptop setup and peripheral devices.
• Certification such as A+, Network+, or Security+ is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, phone, remote, and email support to users.
• Maintain the ticketing system with up-to-date status of all requests.
• Keep inventory system up to date with deployed computing assets.
• Research, recommend, and order software/hardware requested by departments.
• Create and provision user accounts and access for staff.
• Provide support to end users for Windows and Apple systems.
• Guide end users through troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform upgrades to hardware and software.
• Support printing and other peripherals.
• Set up, install, and configure desktop hardware/software per internal policies.
• Participate in identity and access management of systems.
• Perform other IT support duties as assigned.
• This is a 40-hour week, may require 5x8 onsite coverage.
