Job summary

ESP Global Services is hiring a Desktop Support Technician in Arlington Heights, IL to provide end-user IT support for Windows PCs, Macs, printers, and mobile devices. The role supports multiple departments and maintains SLAs while ensuring hardware and software issues are resolved efficiently.

You will manage tickets, inventory, account provisioning, and basic network/peripheral support. A+/Net+ or Security+ certifications and 1–3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience providing Helpdesk/Desktop Support or Field Services.
• 1-3 years of experience with current Microsoft Windows Desktop software.
• 1-3 years of experience supporting DSS, multiple workstation OS (Windows, Mac), multiple mobile OS (Android, iOS), networking, printing services.
• Experience fulfilling onboarding and offboarding requests (set-up of devices, accounts, software).
• Experience in supporting performance and resolving client-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, phone, remote, and email support to users.
• Keep the ticketing system updated with status of requests.
• Maintain inventory systems with deployed computing assets.
• Research, recommend, and order software/hardware for departments.
• Create and provision user accounts and email access.
• Troubleshoot both Windows and Apple systems and guide users through steps.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades.
• Support printing and peripheral devices.
• Setup and configure desktop hardware/software per internal policies.
• Assist with identity and access management for systems.
• Handle other IT support duties as needed.
• This is a 40-hour week, may vary to cover 5 days x 8 hours onsite.
