Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an IT Co-op student to support computer users and develop a wide range of system solutions within the Information Technology Systems department. The role interfaces with internal and external end users to support end-user computing needs.

Key tasks include help desk support, deploying computers, maintaining network documentation, and inventorying IT equipment.

Qualifications

• Attend full time at Michigan Tech, Ferris State, Grand Valley State.
• Junior or senior working on BS Degree in Computer related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with help desk tasks: basic end-user support and issues – hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and network.
• Assist with building and deploying computers and preparing them for use by others.
• Assist with network documentation and labeling physical taps; create drawings.
• Document issues and fixes.
• Inventory and document IT equipment.
• Lifting and transporting equipment of various weight.
• Clean workstations of malware and viruses; remediate where needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
