Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Change Management Engineer to design and govern ITIL-aligned change processes for mission-critical systems in a highly regulated federal IT environment.

You will evaluate requests, manage risk, coordinate with security and operations, and drive improvement using ServiceNow and standard templates to ensure auditable, compliant changes with minimal service disruption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of ITIL-based IT service management experience with at least 4 years in change management.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL change management and auditable change processes.
• Experience evaluating change requests, minimizing service disruption, and documenting changes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills; able to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ITIL-based change management workflows for enterprise IT services.
• Evaluate change requests for risk, priority, regulatory impact, and coordination with governance bodies.
• Chair or support change advisory board meetings and track action items.
• Utilize ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) to log, track, and report changes with proper audit trails.
• Develop change management policies, templates, and communications for a regulated government environment.
• Monitor KPIs and recommend tooling enhancements to improve stability and throughput.
• Collaborate with project, operations, and security teams to integrate change controls into release management and pipelines.
• Provide training on ITIL change practices and ITSM tool usage.
