Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and governance for IT hardware, software, and services. You will partner with business owners and the Corporate Services Vendor Contracting team to negotiate contracts and ensure vendor obligations align with business requirements.

You will drive category strategies, manage RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, and lead cross-functional negotiations to reduce TCO while mitigating risk. Hybrid work options are available across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading sourcing events for IT hardware, software and services.
• Ability to develop category strategies and evaluation criteria.
• Proven track record negotiating vendor contracts and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT categories in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Conduct sourcing events and develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ).
• Lead vendor negotiations and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Analyze market dynamics and provide TCO-based optimization recommendations.
• Coordinate vendor reviews, risk assessments, and governance activities.
• Partner with stakeholders to source IT products and services using analytics.
