Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a dedicated IT Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Irving, TX. The role focuses on technical review, execution, maintenance, and customer support, delivering projects aligned with Flowserve's standards.

As an IT Business Analyst, you will partner with business users, manage budgets, review vendor proposals, and support the full life cycle from requirements to production support, ensuring solutions meet business needs and conform to policy.

Qualifications

• Experience as an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Programmer, or related role.
• Experience supporting IT systems; familiar with issue resolution and 3rd party tools such as Unisys.
• Experience in full life-cycle application implementation from requirements to production support.
• Strong communication with non-technical business personnel.
• Ability to work in a matrix team and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage, deliver, and support IT initiatives that identify, design, implement creative business and technology solutions for business operations.
• Establish relationships with business users and engage in day-to-day interactions with business management, sponsorship, key business application owners and act as their trusted IT adviser.
• Support key business applications from conception to grave i.e. be responsible for product management (need identification), implementation, training, ongoing health & support and finally transition to newer technologies or landscape.
• Make efforts to understand & learn business and technical and functional skills needed to do the job.
• Adherence to Flowserve policies and procedures.
• Support IT budget planning and regular reviews of actual spending against budget, identifying variances and providing input on forecasts.
• Review software licensing, maintenance, and vendor support costs to identify opportunities for savings and improved resource utilization.
• Assist with reviewing vendor proposals, statements of work, purchase orders, and invoices to confirm alignment with approved budgets and agreed deliverables.
• Partner with Finance and IT leadership to track project and operational expenses and support cost-benefit evaluations for IT investments.
• Other duties as assigned.
