Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Business Analyst to serve as an IT functional systems analyst and internal consultant. The role aims to improve business capability by guiding process and system improvements, working with internal and external staff and with key business partners on production systems and new projects.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, analyze processes and data to identify gaps, and support projects from requirements

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience supporting IT systems, processes, or capabilities.
• A solid understanding of retail or IT best practices in complex environments.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Understanding of application development and SDLC concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Preferred experience with Agile (SaFe, Scrum) methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform business analysis at strategic, operational, and organizational levels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT, and cross-functional teams to translate needs into requirements, user stories, and designs.
• Analyze processes, system capabilities, and data to identify gaps and solutions.
• Support projects from requirements through testing and deployment, including documentation and training.
• Proactively manage deliverables and communicate status, risks, and issues.
• Support production systems by troubleshooting and driving timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain process and user documentation.
• Support change management with impacts and training.
• Apply structured problem-solving to evaluate alternatives.
