Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between Distribution Center systems users and IT. You will gather requirements, document functional specs, assist in development, ensure UI alignment, and guide users through system usage.

The role focuses on understanding DC processes, troubleshooting issues, managing project risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. Hybrid in-office/remote work is possible.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in the IT field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and apply instructions or suggest alternate proven methods to move projects forward.
• Ability to follow established practices, policies and procedures.
• Ability to build stable working relationships.
• Strong communication skills.
• Very strong understanding of productivity suite software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Able to create simple to complex analytical solutions.
• Ability to take an abstract analytical problem and break it down into actionable tasks.

Responsibilities

• Understand business processes within the DC and how systems enable the business processes.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide support, and communicate resolutions.
• Gather and document project risks and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Collect and consolidate data from responsible parties for reporting and dashboards.
• Create and analyze process flow documents by networking with users.
• Liaise between technical and business teams to understand and advise on use cases.
• Lead test planning and execution across testing phases for moderately complex projects.
