Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking an IT Audit intern to join the IT Audit team in Richmond, VA. You will help clients identify and manage IT risk and improve IT processes and controls, with exposure to SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 engagements and IT controls design and operating effectiveness assessments for financial audits.

Under senior staff guidance, you will gain hands-on experience, perform IT general control procedures, work with client personnel, and develop your technical and communication skills

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools
• Performing IT general control audit procedures including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, cybersecurity, etc.
• Working with client personnel to gain an understanding of IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results
• Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients
