Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking an IT Audit intern to assist the team in identifying and managing IT risks for clients across industries. You will help assess IT controls, contribute to SOC 1/2/3 engagements, and support audit evidence collection under supervision.

This role emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and teamwork to grow technical skills in IT audit. You will work closely with senior staff to understand IT processes, perform walkthroughs, and help deliver a strong client

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools
• Performing IT general control audit procedures including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, cybersecurity, etc.
• Working with client personnel to gain an understanding of IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results
• Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients
