Lincoln Computer Services in New York, NY seeks a Level I Tech/IT Asset Management Specialist to oversee inventory, asset tracking, device lifecycle, and frontline end-user support across multiple locations. You will work with Tech Bar, coordinate transfers, manage ServiceNow records, and coordinate with vendors to keep IT operations reliable.

This role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and timely delivery of equipment deployment, repair, and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation of equipment for transfers, redeployment, and disposal activities.
• Create and process outgoing asset transfer orders from the main campus location.
• Verify deliveries and pickups by matching equipment with documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain availability of essential hardware.
• Receive departmental equipment shipments and ensure delivery to end users or departments.
• Maintain asset records within ServiceNow and other asset mgmt systems.
• Document equipment receipt, transfers, and status changes.
• Update asset statuses to reflect current inventory.
• Manage requests within the INV-Parts/FSR queue.
• Ensure asset records reflect physical location and status.
• Provide Tech Bar support during high demand periods.
• Assist walk-in customers with laptop, mobile device, and general tech support.
• Deliver customer-focused support with efficient issue resolution.
• Process and document all returned assets through transfer procedures.
• Track returned equipment and reconcile inventory.
• Support warehouse operations with accurate records.
• Assist field technicians with inpatient support requests.
• Provide weekend/evening coverage as needed for operations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to maintain service continuity.
• Track Lexmark printers’ location, MAC, and serial numbers.
• Coordinate printer shipments with Shipping and Receiving.
• Communicate with vendors about printer profiling and deployment.
• Manage RMA processes for scanners and devices.
• Create RMA tasks in HAM Workspace.
• Monitor repair activity and documentation.
• Ensure repaired equipment is properly tracked on return.
• Support inventory control, asset management, and deployment across locations.
• Maintain accuracy and accountability of equipment movement across locations.
• Provide cross-functional support during peak workloads.
