Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to support the NASA Business Area. You will own the lifecycle of hardware, software, licenses, and other IT assets, ensuring inventory accuracy, cost efficiency, and compliance in a 24x7 environment.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to engage with NASA stakeholders across enterprise programs. Prior NASA or federal program experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least 5 years in IT asset management or related field.
• Experience in NASA environments or comparable federal mission systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of hardware, software licensing, procurement, and IT inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Track full asset lifecycle from procurement through disposal.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets and licenses.
• Ensure compliance with NASA, NIST, and cybersecurity standards.
• Prepare reports on inventory, costs, and utilization.
• Collaborate with IT operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
