Job summary

General Dynamics is seeking an Asset Management leader to oversee global hardware assets and asset discovery programs in a remote, internationally distributed environment.

The role emphasizes governance of IT Asset Management policies, process optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration with Security, Network Engineering, and Compliance teams to deliver accurate asset data and measurable performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow, FreshService, or a similar Asset Management tool.
• 2+ years of experience implementing, upgrading, and maintaining Discovery/ITAM/CMDB modules and processes.
• 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry‑related software.
• Experience managing teams remotely (required).
• Experience writing workflows, policies, processes, and procedure documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain hardware assets in the global asset management tool.
• Meet with clients to determine their needs and requirements, provide strategic advice, and manage their assets accordingly.
• Support global teams’ use of the asset management tool.
• Conduct reviews to ensure global asset accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as central governance manager for enterprise IT Asset Management policy, process, and work.
• Manage and configure the asset discovery tool.
• Assist the Asset Management team with issues related to hardware asset records.
• Monitor and support service requests and incidents related to discovery, hardware asset lifecycle, receiving, deploying, and disposal of assets.
• Explain the hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, receiving, deploying, and disposal concepts and methodologies.
• Establish, document, and maintain discovery and asset lifecycle policies, processes and procedures, and communicate the process mission, goals and objectives to all stakeholders.
