Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an Asset Manager to own the end-to-end IT Asset Management process for hardware, software, and licensing assets. You will drive cost control, license compliance, and audit readiness while aligning asset data with the CMDB.

The role requires 2–4 years in ITAM/ITSM, a Secret Clearance, and ITIL Foundations certification with strong documentation and reporting skills. On-site responsibilities support a government-focused IT environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in IT Asset Management or ITSM operations.
• Must possess a Secret Clearance.
• ITIL Foundation certification required; Intermediate/Practitioner preferred.
• Experience with asset management tools and software licensing.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the IT Asset Management process across the full asset lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate asset inventories (hardware, software, licenses, peripherals).
• Track software entitlements, usage, and compliance; address over/under-utilization.
• Coordinate procurement requests and approvals with budget and ITCR vetting.
• Manage asset tagging, check-in/out, and GFE reporting per government rules.
• Conduct periodic audits and reconcile asset records with CMDB data.
• Partner with Configuration Management to keep data aligned.
• Prepare documentation for software license audits and compliance reviews.
• Generate asset management reports and KPIs for leadership.
