Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks an experienced CM/IT asset specialist to manage configuration items and full asset lifecycle across hardware, software, and licenses. You will align baselines with policy, coordinate closed-loop change control, and ensure accurate records for government and corporate controls.

The role requires a Secret Clearance, strong documentation discipline, and proficiency with CM tools such as Jira/ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2-5 years in configuration management and change control, including configuration identification, configuration control, status accounting, and physical audits; experience with IT asset lifecycle tracking and software license compliance.
• Must possess a Secret Clearance
• ITIL Foundation preferred

Responsibilities

• Identifies, documents, and baselines Configuration Items (hardware, software, deliverables, documentation, processes) with program teams.
• Administers the Configuration Management System as subject matter expert, ensuring CI records reflect baselines and secure end-states.
• Tracks Change Requests with Change Control Boards and Requirements Analysts; records decisions and notes.
• Owns the full IT asset lifecycle from procurement through disposal for hardware, software, and licenses.
• Maintains accurate inventory and CI-to-asset linkage in the CMDB/ITAM tool; reconciles asset records against baselines.
• Coordinates asset tagging, check-in/check-out, and ownership/location tracking, including government property requirements.
• Conducts periodic physical audits and reconciliations; resolves discrepancies between physical assets, CMDB, and financial records.
• Generates release baseline packages and metrics on baseline/asset accuracy for leadership reporting.
