Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks an IT Equipment Custodian (ITEC) to provide onsite support to the Air Force Research Laboratory at Edwards AFB, California.

The ITEC functions as a Property Custodian for ADPE and non-ADPE assets in accordance with applicable procedures. The position supports asset management lifecycle from receipt to disposal, maintaining records for devices such as computers, mobile devices, servers, printers, and network gear, and provides Tier 0/1 help desk support using

Qualifications

• Experience in IT asset management and asset accountability.
• Experience conducting physical inventories and tracking serials.
• Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to escalate issues through established channels and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Function as Property Custodian for assigned IT assets following DoD procedures.
• Maintain asset records including serial numbers, tags, locations, and statuses.
• Perform physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
• Process receipts, transfers, and disposals per procedures.
• Provide Tier 0/1 help desk support and ServiceNow ticket management.
