Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC seeks an IT Equipment Custodian (ITEC) to manage ADPE and non-ADPE assets at Edwards AFB, CA. The role covers full asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal and includes Tier 0/1 help desk support.

Responsibilities include maintaining asset records, performing physical inventories, and coordinating with stakeholders. Strong IT hardware knowledge and ServiceNow experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT asset management, property accountability, inventory management, logistics, IT operations, or a related field.
• Experience maintaining equipment/property records and conducting physical inventories.
• Ability to track and reconcile serial numbers, asset tags, locations, assignments, transfers, and equipment status.
• Familiarity with common enterprise IT hardware.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Online.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Function as Property Custodian for assigned ADPE and non-ADPE accounts under DAFMAN 17-1203.
• Maintain asset accountability through acquisition, receipt, inventory, transfer, disposal, and financial reporting.
• Maintain asset records including serial numbers, tags, locations, and status.
• Conduct physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, verify equipment locations, and document findings.
• Process equipment receipts, assignments, transfers, relocations, turn-ins, and disposal per procedures.
• Maintain hand receipts and property-accountability documentation.
• Track IT hardware including computers, mobile devices, displays, network equipment, printers/scanners, servers, and related items.
• Coordinate asset lifecycle activities with customers, technical teams, and property personnel.
• Maintain records, SOPs, and asset-management documentation.
• Provide Tier 0/1 help desk support and ServiceNow ticket management as needed.
• Provide professional customer support with accurate asset/service records.
