Job summary

Amazon in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect Leader to grow and lead a team that supports large ISV customers. You will hire, coach, and develop architects, and partner with sales to drive business outcomes on AWS.

You will guide architectural discussions, transfer deep technical knowledge, and publish learnings internally and externally. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and delivering scalable cloud solutions for the world’s top software companies.

Qualifications

10+ years of enterprise IT work including hands-on software development or DevOps.
2+ years of architecting/operating cloud solutions on major cloud platforms.
8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end roadmaps for cloud transformations.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects.
Coach architects in skills to work with ISV customers and transfer deep technical knowledge.
Lead team to build, migrate and modernize applications on AWS.
Educate customers on the value of AWS; participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployments.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS SA community.
Act as a technical liaison between customers, service teams and support.
