Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare seeks compassionate Individual Support Technicians to assist youth with I/DD in home and community settings. You will implement PBS strategies, build daily living skills, and promote safety and independence through structured activity plans.

Role involves hands-on skill-building, collaboration with families, and adherence to program guidelines. Training provided; part-time, flexible scheduling (5–35 hours weekly) with variable shifts to meet family needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in psychology, special education, social work, human services, or related field.
  • ≥ 1 year supervised experience implementing behavior support plans and teaching ADL/IADL skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
  • Must serve youth who meet NJ ISS eligibility criteria (CSOC/DDD eligible, NJ residents).
  • Valid New Jersey Drivers License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently in home and community settings.
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks; pre-employment drug screen.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings.
  • Implement PBS strategies and skill acquisition plans.
  • Support development of ADLs and behavioral needs (self-care, functional skills, socialization).
  • Teach appropriate social behavior and use redirection for challenging behavior.
  • Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization and consistency.
  • Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards.
  • Ensure client safety and well-being at all times.
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and trainings.
  • Follow agency policies and NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines.
