Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare is seeking compassionate Individual Support Technicians to assist youth (5–21) in home and community settings. IST I–III promote independence, safety, and daily living skills using Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies.

Positions involve hands-on skill-building, not clinical therapy, with shifts that fit family needs. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3 years of supervised behavior support experience, plus valid NJ driver’s license and reliable

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
• Must serve youth who meet NJ ISS eligibility criteria (CSOC/DDD eligible, NJ residents)
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently in home and community settings
• Must pass all state and federal background checks
• Pre-employment, post-conditional job offer drug screen required
• Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings
• Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and skill acquisition plans
• Support development of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Behavioral Needs, including: Self‑Care (eating, dressing, hygiene) and Functional Skills (telephone use, fine motor tasks)
• Behavioral Support: self-calming, proactive strategies, challenging behavior redirection
• Socialization: communication, community integration
• Teach appropriate social behavior
• Utilize redirection and proactive strategies to address challenging behavior
• Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization and consistency
• Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards
• Ensure client safety and well‑being at all times
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and required trainings
• Follow all agency policies, NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines, and professional standards
• Implement assigned interventions and skill-building activities
• Support BADLs and, when applicable, IADLs
• Assist with data collection and documentation
• Follow supervision and program guidance
