Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Therapeutic Support Services designed to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. They seek compassionate ISTs to support youth with I/DD in home and community settings, delivering PBS-based skill development and safety-focused care.

IST I positions involve working 5–35 hours weekly with flexible shifts, hands-on training, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote independence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, social work, human services, or related field.
  • ≥ 1 year supervised experience developing and implementing PBS/ADL intervention plans.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring support staff.
  • Strong data analysis and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings.
  • Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and skill acquisition plans.
  • Support development of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Behavioral Needs, including self-care, functional skills, and socialization.
  • Teach appropriate social behavior.
  • Utilize redirection and proactive strategies to address challenging behavior.
  • Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization and consistency.
  • Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards.
  • Ensure client safety and well‑being at all times.
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
  • Follow all agency policies, NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines, and professional standards.
  • Develop and update behavior support and skill acquisition plans.
  • Analyze data trends to monitor progress and outcomes.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to IST II and IST III staff.
  • Ensure fidelity of implementation across service deliveries.
