Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee cybersecurity and IA for DoD/IC environments. The role ensures compliance with ICD 503, RMF, and NIST standards, and supports A&A activities across the system life cycle.

The ISSO will develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, SAPs, and SARs, coordinate with security teams and government representatives, and monitor security posture while driving remediation of vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 8+ years in information assurance, cybersecurity, or A&A for DoD/IC environments.
• Experience with ICD 503, RMF, and NIST SP 800-53.
• Experience preparing SSPs, SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee cybersecurity and IA requirements for assigned systems.
• Ensure compliance with ICD 503, RMF, NIST publications, and DoD 8510.01 guidance.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage A&A documentation and processes.
• Support system categorization, control selection, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain security artifacts (SSPs, POA&Ms).
• Coordinate with IA, cyber, and government security representatives.
• Monitor system security posture and assist remediation of risks.
• Maintain authorization and compliance throughout lifecycle.
• Maintain required security training for systems and roles.
• Provide security guidance to program and technical leadership.
