Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools - Truman Elementary in Vancouver, WA seeks a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Social Emotional Program (ISEP). This 6.5-hour/day, 9-month position is a one-on-one role supporting a student with individualized needs.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, and preferred experience with students with disabilities. Training, background checks, and CPI/de-escalation certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying a high school diploma or GED is required.
• One of the following: official transcripts for an Associate’s Degree or 60–90 credits; or ETS ParaPro Assessment 461+.
• One year of related experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse students and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with implementing instructional plans and IEP goals.
• Provide one-to-one support to students in theISEP program.
• Help manage classroom behavior and reinforce safety procedures.
• Attend required trainings and communicate observations to staff.
