Job summary

Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking a Network Security Engineer II to design, implement, operate, and continuously improve enterprise network security controls in our Irvine, CA office. You will work with WAF, NAC, IDS, and firewall technologies, collaborating with IT Networking to ensure secure, scalable services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network security, infrastructure security, or security engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, VPNs, network segmentation.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.
• onsite presence in Irvine office five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Web Application Firewall platforms for internet-facing and internal applications.
• Maintain Network Access Control technologies, including device profiling and policy enforcement.
• Operate and tune IDS/IPS to improve detection and reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with IT Networking on secure design, routing, switching, and connectivity initiatives.
• Review security events, logs, and traffic patterns to identify threats or misconfigurations.
• Develop documentation including network security diagrams and runbooks.
• Support vulnerability remediation for network infrastructure and security controls.
• Participate in change management and risk assessment for changes.
