Job summary

TransCore is seeking a Network Administrator II for an on-site role in Irvine, CA. The position covers enterprise network infrastructure management and CCTV systems administration (SYMPHIA VMS). It requires Cisco expertise, Palo Alto firewalls, VMware, Windows/Linux servers, and WC/SAN knowledge.

A CCNP certification is required with 5+ years of experience. On-site in Irvine, full-time, with a salary range of $85,000–$125,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of proven experience in network administration using Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with toll systems network security and maintenance desired.
• CCNP certification is required.
• CCNP Enterprise certification is desired.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics and leased line management.
• Ability to work independently and with others with minimal guidance.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and software.
• Experience with ACL maintenance, segmentation scans, and PCI compliance documentation.
• Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain network infrastructure including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and dedicated fiber optic/leased lines.
• Administer CCTV servers and systems, currently using SYMPHIA VMS.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers and VMware Hosts.
• Provide on-call and after-hours maintenance services.
• Document network configurations, changes, and updates; maintain procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and service providers as needed.
• Travel to data centers and field locations as needed.
