Job summary

American Vanguard is seeking a Network Administrator to manage day-to-day network infrastructure across multiple sites in Irvine, CA. The role emphasizes uptime, performance, and security, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations.

The candidate should have 3+ years of enterprise networking experience, SD-WAN, firewall/VPN expertise, and ITIL process familiarity. This is an on-site position with on-call rotation and opportunities to drive IT standardization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on network administration in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with multi-site WANs including carrier circuit management and telecom coordination.
• Familiar with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking concepts (Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute).
• Familiarity with ITIL-based change and incident management processes.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP, Network+ or Fortinet NSE.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in IT/CS/Networking.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across all sites.
• Ensure network availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Configure and manage firewall, VPNs, ACLs, and segmentation per security policies.
• Support WAN connectivity and telecom coordination across sites.
• Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and refresh initiatives.
• Maintain network documentation including diagrams, IPAM, and change logs.
• Respond to incidents within SLAs; escalate complex issues.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to support security initiatives and compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity for network infrastructure.
