TIC - The Industrial Company in Louisiana is seeking an experienced ironworker to read blueprints, lay out, install and assemble structural steel components, and coordinate hoisting with cranes.

You will verify alignment with plumb bobs and lasers, cut and weld steel, bolt members, and rig hoisting equipment while working outdoors in all weather and overtime as needed. Safety rules and physical endurance are essential for success.

Formación

• Reads blueprints to determine material quantities and locations.
• Able to fabricate metal parts per blueprints.
• Positions prefabricated steel using cranes and signaling equipment.
• Ensures alignment with plumb bobs, lasers, and levels.

Responsabilidades

• Reads specs or blueprints to determine material locations and quantities.
• Fabricates steel parts such as frames, columns, beams per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units; hoists with cranes to place members.
• Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of steel members using plumb bobs, lasers, transits, or levels.
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces using torches or welding equipment.
• Forces structural steel into final positions using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, or hand tools.
• Bolts aligned members for permanent riveting, bolting or welding.
• Assemble hoisting equipment or riggings to move heavy equipment or materials.
